Assuming it actually launches this November as planned, that is. We’ll find out more tomorrow when we get a look at Valve’s booth! For now, consider me tentatively interested in Steam Link at least-I’m still looking for the perfect in-home streaming solution, and with Valve’s reputation for perfection, this could be it. While last year we had machines with four GeForce Titans-basically, dream PCs if you have a lot of money to throw away-the new direction seems to be this: “Steam Machines will start at the same price point as game consoles, with higher performance.” Valve’s apparently rethought the entire Steam Machine initiative. There are also more traditional Steam Machines being showed at GDC this week-Valve name-drops Alienware and Falcon Northwest in its statement, and Syber already shared details of its Steam Machine initiative earlier today. But since it is not an Android TV OS I'm afraid that the UI will not be nice to work with from the TV and switching apps will be a pain. So I'm leaning towards using the official Android build, since there is a Kodi and Steam Link app for it. I'm new to the ODROID world, but have used Raspberry Pis previously so I'm familiar with Linux and I'm fine with a "custom" solution.

Everything should be connected to my TV and be easy and nice to use with my remote via CEC (obviously will use a controller for playing games). Also I want to use Steam Link for Remote Play from my desktop PC. I want to be able to use Kodi (4k, HDR.) with a USB HDD attached locally that should be accessible via network (e.g. As the title already says, I have 2 use cases for my ODROID N2+:
